LETTER FROM THE NATIONAL LEGACY CAMPAIGN CHAIRMAN

           Dear Friends,
I am so proud to share with you that we are on track to open the Jackie Robinson Museum (JRM) in December of 2019. This highly anticipated
event will mark the culmination of our year-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jack Roosevelt Robinson on January 31,
1919. We’ve raised $29 million, meeting our Museum development and construction fundraising goal, and the total campaign goal of
           $42 million is in sight.
Construction has begun at the Museum site, located at One Hudson Square in New York City. Museum programming previews began in April
and a promotional traveling exhibit is making its way around the country throughout the year.

We could not have met these milestones without you. On behalf of the Jackie Robinson Foundation board of directors, Robinson family,
and staff, I thank all of you who have supported this National Legacy Campaign and the Jackie Robinson Museum project. I want to
especially commend JRF President Della Britton and the JRF staff for their vision and tremendous dedication to this project.

The Jackie Robinson Museum will explore Robinson’s life through artifacts, narrative, and state-of-the-art media, including dynamic
interactives. Emphasis will be placed on educational programming for all levels of learners, spanning the many topics that were addressed

those involving race relations and persistent, institutional disparities. A robust Museum website will encourage off-site engagement through
live-streamed programming, podcasts and interactive instruction.

In its emphasis on educational programming, the Museum will build on the Jackie Robinson Foundation’s stellar reputation for closing
the gap in higher education through its 46-year-old scholarship program, which will continue to be a priority of preserving Robinson’s rich
           legacy.
Please know that there is still work to be done! We must continue to raise funds to build out the Museum website, to cover marketing
expenses in the coming months, and to put in place a Museum operating endowment to help ensure the Museum’s sustainability. In short,
we must raise an additional $13 million to reach our $42 million National Legacy Campaign goal.

Please join my commitment to push forward as we round home plate to realize this long-held dream of Rachel Robinson who, at the tender
age of 97, is eager for the Jackie Robinson Museum to EDUCATE, CHALLENGE and INSPIRE ǣɎɀ ɮǣɀǣɎȒȸɀ ٹɎȒ ƬȒȇɎǣȇɖƺ ɎȒ ɯȒȸǸ ɎȒɯƏȸƳ ٻˡȸɀɎ ƬǼƏɀɀ
