The Permanent Exhibit
As visitors enter the main gallery, they see six major components of the
core exhibit:
ى 1st Base: An introductory video enclave to the immediate left;
ى The Press Box: Visitors will view press and other accounts of Robinson’s
ˡȸɀɎ ɵƺƏȸ ɯǣɎǝ Ɏǝƺ (ȒƳǕƺȸɀٕ
ى Jackie in the Dugout: An immersive audio experience of historic crowd
and public reactions to Robinson;
ى The Baseline: A biographical timeline with contextual historical events;
ى The Scoreboard: An overhead projection that aggregates interactive media
throughout the Museum and captures topical events and trends; and
ى “The Measure of a Man”: Five thematic columns at the center of the space
that depict facets of Robinson’s life as ATHLETE, ACTIVIST, PATRIOT,
ENTREPRENEUR, and FAMILY MAN.
