TRIPOD LASHING
Tripod lashing joins three poles to one another for use as a tripod.
There are various different forms of tripod lashing, but this version
is particularly useful because it can tied into a frame, transported,
and erected on-site. After use it can be folded flat and reused
elsewhere. It could also, if required, be left as a permanent
structure or part of a permanent structure.
1 Position the three poles side by side and tie a clove hitch (see page 54)
around the left pole at a suitable distance from the top.
POSSIBLE USES?
• Building a triangular garden framework.
• Support for suspending an object.
