Transition, Transformation, Innovation
The Pine-Richland School District Mission, Vision, and Values drive all recommendations. If any proposed
changes do not align with the MVV, they are not considered. Beginning in March of 2020, education changed.
Because of necessary closures, schools quickly modified the delivery of instruction. Although we believe in-
person learning is an integral part of the educational experience, Pine-Richland’s Continuity of Learning model
and implementation have identified new and innovative options for teaching and learning.
As we move into the 2021-2022 school year, the district is considering appropriate options for students and
families to implement some changes that we have learned from these experiences. This is one-step in the
direction of transformational change to K-12 education at Pine-Richland.
Augmenting the traditional approach could include experiences such as virtual parent conference to ensure all
family members can attend. Building the bridge to the future may include certain courses being offered as a hybrid
or full-virtual option. We are working with a group of staff members to develop short- and long-term options. More
information will be shared with students and families as plans are finalized for the upcoming school year.
