Pine-Richland School District FAQs
4. Mark your calendars, Friday, May 29th will be light up Pine-Richland night. This is
the last day of school for our seniors (and all other students). All community members
and businesses will be asked to light up their homes and businesses with green and
white lights in honor of our seniors. This will be a great night to drive around our
community with your family.
Senior Awards and Scholarships
Q: Will the high school still distribute academic awards/scholarships to seniors?
A: A virtual version of the senior awards assembly will be aired on PRTV and streamed
on the PR website on Wednesday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. Speakers will record their
presentations. As students are recognized for their accomplishments, their pictures will be
displayed. Scholarships, pins, certificates, and honor cord distribution plans will be
communicated in May based on social distancing guidelines.
Senior Prom
Q: Will the high school prom be rescheduled?
A: A traditional high school prom will not be rescheduled. The high school staff, in collaboration
with student leadership groups, is planning a senior celebration event that will be held at Pine-
Richland High School or on the Gateway Clipper. The senior class will receive a survey to help
determine location and if the event will be formal or casual. Three tentative date options have
been identified: July 24th/July 30th after the traditional graduation ceremony (if
possible), December of 2020 during winter break or Summer of 2021.
