● Math
o Calculus AB – The average score of 3.02 is an increase when compared to
2018 results. The enrollment increased from 32 to 42.
o Calculus BC – The average score of 4.39 is an increase compared to 2018
results. Enrollment in the course was 23, a decrease from the previous
year.
o Statistics – Student average score decreased slightly but enrollment
increased from 57 to 69. The average score is still well above the state
and global averages for this exam.
● Science
o Biology – In 2019, enrollment decreased but the average score increased
from 2.98 to 3.19.
o Chemistry – Enrollment in this course increased to 46. The average score
of 3.54 is a slight decrease but well above state and global averages.
o Physics C: Mechanics – The number of students increased from 10 to 18
with 89% of the group achieving a 3 or above.
● Social Studies
o European History – Enrollment increased to 66 students, the highest
number in five years. The average score in 2019 of 3.64 is an increase for
Pine-Richland. In 2019, 85% of the students scored above a 3.
o Microeconomics – Enrollment increased to 76 students and students
achieving a 3 or above increased to 64.5%. This however, is lower than
the state average.
o Psychology – Student participation continues to grow (158). The average
score earned decreased slightly to 3.01.
o United States Government and Politics – Student enrollment dropped from
57 to 32, a four year low. The average score increased from 2.79 to 3.06.
o United States History – Enrollment in the course decreased from 122 to
86. The average score of 2.72 was a slight decrease from last year.
● World Languages
o French Language and Culture – The average score in 2019 was 2.88, a
slight decrease from 2018.
o German Language and Culture - The number of students taking this test
increased from 5 to 10; the average score for the students was a 3.0.
o Spanish Language and Culture – In 2019, 18 students took the exam,
100% of the students scored a 3 or higher. The average score decreased
from 4.38 to 3.83. All students have scored a 3 or higher over the past 4
years.
