2019-2020 Hance Elementary Handbook & Program of Studies

The primary schools service students from kindergarten
through grade 3. Kindergarten is a half-day program, and
lunch is not served.

In addition to the instruction within the classroom,
kindergarten students have library and computer class once
per week.

Students in grades 1-3 have a 30-minute lunch and a 30-
minute recess each day. Additionally, students in grades 1-3
have weekly classes for art, computers, library, music, and
physical education.

KINDERGARTEN THROUGH THIRD GRADE

9:00-9:15 a.m. Doors Open - Students Arrive

9:15 a.m. Warning Bell Rings

9:20 a.m. Instructional Day Begins

12:00 p.m. Dismissal Begins for AM Kindergarten

1:00 p.m. Instructional Day Begins – PM Kindergarten

3:40 p.m. Instructional Day Ends

3:45 p.m. Dismissal Begins K-3

3:55-4:10 p.m. Buses Depart

Kindergarten 2-Hour Delay Schedule

Morning Session: 11:20 a.m. - 1:05 p.m.

Afternoon Session: 1:55 p.m. - 3:40 p.m.
