Level II Offenses are misbehaviors whose frequency or seriousness disrupts the learning climate of the
school or classroom. These infractions can result from the continuation of Level I misbehaviors or include
new offenses. The educational consequences are serious enough to require disciplinary action taken by
administrative personnel. Repeated or more serious instances of misbehavior at this level raise the offense
to a higher level.
Examples Include but Not Limited to:
● Persistent Level I Behaviors ● Sexting
● Lying ● Use or possession of tobacco
● Cheating ● Unlawful harassment
● Misrepresentation of parent or guardian ● Not serving detention
● Disrespect ● Unwanted physical contact
● Defiance of authority ● Violation of technology agreement
● Insubordination (Acceptable Use of Internet, Computers
● Driving to school without a parking and Network Resources Policy)
permit ● Forgery (Example: Forging a permission
● Reprisals or retaliation for responsible slip)
reporting ● Cutting class
● Leaving school building without ● School bus misbehavior

Examples of Level II Consequences Include but Not Limited to:
● Improvement plan ● Detention
● Exclusion from Peers with Supervision ● In-school suspension
● Letter sent home ● Out-of-school suspension
● Written record of offense ● Referral to police or district magistrate
● Loss of Privileges

Level III offenses are acts whose frequency or seriousness disrupt the learning climate of the school and
are directed against persons or properties. These misbehaviors could endanger the health or safety of
those in the school.
Examples Include but Not Limited to:
● Persistent Level I or II behavior ● Leaving school grounds without
● Disrespect permission (Ex.: Cutting school)
● Defiance of authority or insubordination ● Possession/use of gambling paraphernalia
● Theft ● Fighting
● Threats ● Physical Aggression
● Extortion ● Vandalism
● Bribery ● Smoke bombs
● Possession/use of drug paraphernalia ● Unsafe driving in the parking lot
● Possession and/or use of any nicotine- ● Involvement with alcohol and/or drugs
containing product, including vapes/e- ● Unlawful harassment
cigarettes ● School bus misbehavior
● Unauthorized tampering with the district’s
