The University President’s Message
_ _
We envision the Isabela State University as one of the leading research universities in the country and in
the ASEAN Region by 2024, comparable to the best universities in Asia. Thus, we are setting our sights into that
direction.
In our effort to sustain and further improve our past achievements, we crafted the new Strategic
Development Plan for the Isabela State University, thereby defining the operational blueprint that will serve as
our guide in venturing new horizons.
The recent development plans of the regional and national governments, on the other hand, have embarked
on aggressive programs of action aimed at spurring the growth and improvements of the country in general. Not
to be outdone are those that concern educational services as embedded through its Result Matrices’ (RMs) that
serve as pillars in accelerating human capital development. The University will also pursue the same aspirations
and aligns its programs and projects consistent to the regional and national directions.
The 2019-2024 Strategic Development Plan is designed to address four key priority areas: (1) Quality and
Relevant Academic Programs; (2) Research and Development; (3) Extension and Training Advisory Services; and
(4) Management of Resources.
The Plan is the product of a series of consultations and workshops spanning close to a year in the process,
which was participated in by all key University officials, faculty, staff, students, and all other stakeholders, with
one foremost agenda in mind: to generate a strategic doable plan that will deliver and provide the best
education services for the development, welfare, and benefit of our clients.
The newly crafted Strategic Development Plan enumerates the short-term goals that the University strives to
achieve in the next five years through essential strategic goals and relevant objectives. Likewise, we will adopt
and implement identified appropriate and better strategies and corresponding activities. The identified
performance parameters will be used to gauge our progress along the way.
Therefore, we earnestly enjoin the support of all stakeholders in the worthy pursuit of our
aspirations.
