The first known cases of Ebola occurred in Sudan and the

Democratic Republic of Congo in 1976, and the virus was suspected to
                          have been originated in bats.

The Ebola virus disrupted the immune system of the sufferer. The

virus infection could not be easily recognized so that the virus is free to
roam around to eat away at the sufferer's body.

The symptoms of the Ebola virus almost resembled those of malaria,
such as high fever, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and in severe

                          cases internal bleeding can occur.
There has been no cure for Ebola, although efforts at finding a

vaccine are ongoing. Therefore, prevention of the Ebola virus is the best

way to avoid the effects of Ebola.
