mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but

their heart is far from me. But in vain they
                                                                           9

do worship me, teaching for doctrines the

commandments of men.” We see here

traditions of men versus the Word of God. So

when we just consider customs and traditions,

if people want a Christmas tree, fine. I'm not

offended by them. I could sit and eat lunch

beside one of them. It doesn't bother me at

all. But I'm simply saying it has nothing to do

with the birth of Jesus Christ, and I'd have to

ask the question, "Why am I putting this up?"

Now, what about gifts? I think the only

place in the Bible where people are

exchanging gifts is in the context of wicked

men celebrating the death of God's servants.
