continues to guide us into all truth (John

16:13).

And because Jesus has said, “My sheep hear

my voice . . . and they follow me,” we know

that our Good Shepherd, the Lord Jesus

Christ, will continue to lead us “in paths of

righteousness for his name’s sake” and that

one day we “will dwell in the house of the

LORD forever” (Psalm 23:3 & 6).

“For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God

endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if,

when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently?

But if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently,

this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were ye called:

because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that

ye should follow his steps.”
