able to work with long pants on and so have

most of you in here. I used to play basketball.

Some of you played with me. You never saw me

in a pair of shorts playing basketball, did you?

Now, years and years and years ago you would

have seen me in a pair of shorts before I learned

this truth, but right now, I could go swimming

and I could be dressed near as I am right now

and enjoy swimming. It would not hinder me at

all. So that's a lame excuse.

Now, I believe this subject this morning is

important for us, not only as a reminder of doing

what's right, but it’s important for us so that we

can be a blessing and a help to others with this

particular subject, because these are things that

are in violation of God's Word — and we do

want to be a help to others, do we not?

Hundreds of years ago Clement of Alexandria

said, “For such clothing, falling close to the
