10y FS Labrador Retriever cross with recent onset of disorientation progressing to obtundation. There is a superficial plaque‐like T1 and
T2 hyperintense mass involving the entire left cerebrum, causing marked midline shift (a,b: arrowheads). Additional T2 hyperintensity in
the corona radiata of the left hemisphere represents angiogenic edema (a). A similar, but smaller, sessile mass is present adjacent to the
pons (d,e: arrow). Both masses intensely and uniformly enhance following contrast administration (c,f,g: arrowheads). Postmortem
examination confirmed a diagnosis of multiple meningiomas. The gross specimen illustrates the extraaxial location of the larger
meningioma (h). This is the same patient as in Figure 2.9.4 illustrating a pituitary cyst.
