Message from the

Director-General,

Department of Tourism

Introduced over 18 years ago, the accommodation standardisa-
tion has achieved great success, culminating in the official acknowl-
edgement from Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports, bringing
more credibility and stability to the local industry.

Nevertheless, the Thailand Hotel Standard Foundation, in
partnership with involved agencies and organisations, continues
to seek further supportive measures to encourage and facilitate
the entrepreneurs of this business to express their good intention
and participate in this program. The main objective is to help the
accommodation business gain greater public trust and attract more
tourists to the country.

On behalf of the Thailand Hotel Standard Foundation, I
would like to extend my gratitude to both the public and private
sectors for their dynamic impulse and contributions to this program,
today and beyond.
