Following reports of high rates of newsroom layoffs due to the
COVID-19 pandemic, the International NGO Forum on
Indonesian Development (INFID) has urged the government to
financially aid media companies in order to help them survive the
crisis.

Indonesia terpilih menjadi Ketua ASEAN bidang ketenagakerjaan
periode 2020-2022 dengan mengusung tema mempromosikan
pekerja ASEAN untuk daya saing, ketahanan, dan ketangkasan
dalam menghadapi pekerjaan masa depan. Menteri
Ketenagakerjaan Ida Fauziyah secara resmi menjabat Chair of
ASEAN Labour Ministers Meeting (ALMM) atau Ketua Menteri-
menteri Ketenagakerjaan se-ASEAN untuk masa jabatan periode
2020 hingga 2022.
