Method
                                         Form a turn in the standing
                                        part (1), and insert the end
                                        into it from below (2). Pass
                                        the end behind the standing
                                        part and bring it back through
                                        the turn (3, 4). Hold the end
                                        and the loop with the right
                                        hand and pull the standing
                                        part to tighten the knot (5, 6).






                                        SLIPPED BOWLINE

                                        This is made by using a bight
                                        for the final tuck (7).
                                          Of course, before
                                        beginning the slipped
                                        bowline you must ensure that
                                        the end is long enough. Tied
                                        in this way, the bowline is
                                        easier to untie if it is under
                                        great strain.
