Training & Development
Done Differently
In 17 years, I’ve had the opportunity to explore many different approaches to real estate. I’ve been through corporate training programs at RE/MAX and Keller Williams, received industry-related certifications through NAR, CRS, ABR, CRB, etc. and have worked closely with personalized real estate coaches. I’ve experienced immersive, interactive growth opportunities through one-on-one coaching, mastermind groups and participated in leadership roles at the local, regional and national level. This level of training creates opportunities to learn and explore and understand the many ways to be successful in business – in theory. Many of the programs are a generic platform, shared with hundreds of thousands of agents in varying different markets and most of what I learned over the years did not adequately prepare me for shifts in OUR local market, meeting the needs of OUR local customer base and understanding the uniqueness of OUR community. Not only were the programs general in nature, but when I returned to business on a daily basis, I lacked accountability and implementation. The basis of the training was motivating and exciting, but the large brokerages did not provide the support I needed.
I always dreamed if ever I had the opportunity to own and operate a brokerage, things would be done differently. Instead of theoretical thinking, canned marketing and big ideas, there would be small group mentoring, sharing of ideas, one-on-one problem solving and an environment in which there is real, measurable success with the support and team building that encourages one another.
