Tabii her narsizm özelliğinin kişilik bozukluğu olmadığını unutmamak gerekir. Her insan belli bir düzeyde narsistik örüntüye sahiptir ve zaman zaman bu doğrultuda davra- nabilir, hissedebilir. Hatta bazı narsistik özelliklerin liderlik davranışında ve akademik/profesyonel başarı hikâye- lerinde etkili olduğunu biliyoruz. İnsan psikolojisine dair hiçbir konu veya kavramı kendimizi veya başkalarını eti- ketleyecek şekilde yorumlamamak önemli.
Yine de bu maddeleri okuyunca hepinizin aklına en az bir isim geldiğine eminim. Bu kişiler sanatçı, siyasetçi, spor- cu, bilim insanı, öğretmen, doktor vb. her meslekten ola- bilir. Eşiniz, sevgiliniz, yakın arkadaşınız, iş arkadaşınız, komşunuz olabilir. Bu kişi pek tabii siz de olabilirsiniz. Fa- kat bu farklı bir yazının konusu.
Of course, it is essential to remember that not every nar- cissism characteristic signifies a personality disorder. Every person has a certain degree of narcissistic traits, and from time to time can behave and feel in this direction. We even know that some narcissistic traits are effective in leadership behavior and academic/professional achievement stories. It is important not to interpret any subject or concept of hu- man psychology in a way that will label others or us.
Nevertheless, I’m sure you all have at least one name in mind when you read these traits. These people may be artists, politicians, athletes, scientists, teachers, doc- tors or may perform any profession. It can be your part- ner, lover, close friend, colleague or your neighbor. Of course this person can be you as well. But this is the sub- ject of a different article.
