Şikayet etmeyi sevmem. Ve her zaman söylerim; Ba- tu’nun bir gülümsemesi, o ana kadar yaşadığım tüm mutluluk ve heyecanın ağzına kürekle vurur.
Ama anne olmak demek; uykusuz yaşamayı öğren- mek, duşta uzunca bir vakit geçirebildiğinde kendini Bodrum’da bir hafta tatil yapmış saymak, ayakkabı ma- ğazalarında saatler geçirebilmeyi unutup çocuk reyon- larının müdavimi olmak ve benim için en zorlularından biri de yerli yersiz her ortamda, olur olmaz kişilerden abuk sabuk anne-bebek tavsiyeleri almaya alışabilmek demek...
Mesela benden iki ay önce doğum yapmış olsa da her nasılsa kendisini en küçüğü liseye başlamış dört çocuk büyütmüş tecrübesinde hisseden bir komşu, kendi an- nem, kayınvalidem, enişteler, dayılar ve hatta borsacı yakın bir abimiz...

BEING A MOTHER..
I do not like complaining. And I always say; a smile of Batu chucks out all the happiness and excitement I ever experienced.
However, being a mother means learning to live sleepless, feeling as if you are had a one-week holiday in Bodrum when you spend a long time in the shower, forgetting spending hours in shoe stores and becoming regular at the children’s section, and for me, one of the most di cult things, is getting used to the nonsense mother-baby suggestions given by unnecessary people everywhere...
For example, a neighbor, who gave birth only two months earlier than me but feels herself like the mother of four grown-ups – the smallest of which has started to high school-, my mother, mother-in-law, uncles, and even a stockbroker close family friend.
