II. Dünya Savaşı sırasında Paris, Naziler tarafından işgal edilmiştir. 1944 yılında kurtulan kent dört karanlık sene geçirmiştir. Kimileri bir sanat hastası olan Hitler’in kente zarar verilmemesini emrettiğini söylüyorken kimileri de kentin yok edilmesini emrettiği fakat komutanlarının bu emre uymadığını savunuyor. Hangi söylem doğrudur bi- linmez ama sonuç olarak kente zarar vermiyorlar.
Paris gezilecek yerler konusunda oldukça zengin ve po- püler şehirlerden biri. Notre Dame Katedrali, Louvre Mü- zesi, Şanzelize, Eglise de la Madelein ve Eyfel Kulesi sizin için seçtiklerimiz arasında.
NOTRE DAME KATEDRALİ
Meryem Ana’ya adanarak yapılan bu gotik katedral, Paris’in sembollerinden biri hâline gelmiştir. 19. yüzyılın başlarında yıkılma kararı alınan katedralin kurtarılması için ünlü Fransız yazar Victor Hugo, “Notre Dame’ın Kamburu” adlı romanı yazmıştır. Halkın da desteğiyle yıkılmaktan kurtulmuştur. Her yıl yaklaşık 13 milyon turistin ziyaret ettiği 8 asırlık ta- rih mirası Notre Dame Katedrali 2019 yılında yandı. Yangın ülke ve dünya çapında büyük üzüntüye neden oldu.
LOUVRE MÜZESİ
Dan Brown’nun yazdığı ‘Da Vinci Şifresi’ kitabıyla beyaz- perdeye uyarlanan filme konuk olan yapıyı bir çoğumuz biliyoruz. Fransa’nın ilk devlet müzesi olan Louvre, kolek- siyonunda La Liberte Guidant Le Peuple, Mona Lisa, Win- ged Victory of Samothrace ve Venus de Milo gibi birçok şaheser bulunduruyor. Avrupa’nın ve Dünyanın en büyük müzesi olarak bilinen Louvre, aynı zamanda Avrupa’da en çok ziyaret edilen müzelerden biri.
During World War II, Paris was occupied by the Nazis. The city was liberated in 1944 after four dark years. While some say that Hitler ordered not to destroy anything since he is a art lover but some say that he ordered the destruction but the commanders did not comply to this order. We don’t know if this is correct or not but finally they don’t destroy the city.
Paris is one of the rich and popular cities in terms of places to visit. Notre Dame Cathedral, Louvre Museum, Champs-Elysees, Eglise de la Madeleine and Eiffel Tower are among the choices.
NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL
This gothic cathedral, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, has be- come one of the symbols of Paris. In order to protect the cathedral, which was decided to be demolished in the early 19th century, the famous French writer Victor Hugo wrote the novel “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. With the sup- port of the people, it was saved from being destroyed. The Notre Dame Cathedral, heritage of 8 centuries and visit- ed by 13 million tourists each year, burned in 2019. All the world and country felt very sorry because of this fire.
LOUVRE MUSEUM
We all know this place that was used in a movie, adapted by the book called Da Vinci Code of Dan Brown. Louvre, the first state museum of France, contains many masterpieces in its collection such as La Liberte Guidant Le Peuple, Mona Lisa, Winged Victory of Samothrace and Venus de Milo. Known as the largest museum in Europe and the world, Louvre is also one of the most visited museums in Europe.
