Bir hayvansever olarak sokak hayvanları için neler yapıyorsunuz?
✔ Arabamın bagajında her zaman kuru ve yaş mama bu- lunur. Gittiğim yerlerde yolda bir canlı gördüğümde durup mama verdiğim ya da bir kafede otururken dışarda duran bir kediyi gördüğümde yediğim yemekten bir parça alarak yanına gittiğim çok olur. Bazen mamaları bıraktığım yerler yüzünden etraftan azar işittiğim oluyor; ama ne yapabili- rim? Onlar da canlı, üstelik bize emanetler! Bir de Yedikule ve Esenyurt barınaklarını fırsat buldukça ziyaret ediyorum. Özellikle, eski iş yerimde özel bir gün yemeği sonrasında artan yemeklerin Esenyurt Hayvan Barınağı’na verilme- siyle ilgili fikrimi firmaya ikna ettirerek, elimizdeki birkaç kilo et ile barınağa gitmiştik. Onlar mutlu ben mutlu :) Her bir yuvanın başında dakikalar geçirip sanki birini görmeden geçersem onu üzeceğime dair hissiyatım içimi parçalıyor. En arkada kendi halinde dinlenen hayvana dahi, sesimle bile olsa dokunmak istiyorum.
Şirketimizin etrafında da yaşayan canlar var? Onlarla ilgileniyor musunuz?
✔ 6 aydır genel merkezdeyim. Şirket etrafında yaşayan canlılar için yuvalarımız olduğunu geçtiğimiz hafta bu ko- nuyla ilgilenen arkadaşlarımızla gerçekleştirdiğimiz bir görüşme sırasında öğrendim. Ayrıca, 6 aydır şirketin ya- nındaki sitede oturuyorum. Yürüyerek gidip gelmeme rağ- men ve şirketin her iki giriş kapısını da kullanmama rağmen şirketimizin etrafındaki sokak hayvanlarıyla hiç yolum ke- sişmedi. Bundan sonra onlara daha çok vakit ayıracağım. Yalnızca bir kez oturduğum sitenin otoparkında geçen haf- ta rastladığım ürkek bir kediye bagajımdaki mamadan ko- yarak rahat yesin diye uzaklaşarak izlemiştim.

✔ Dışarda bakıma muhtaç, hayata kendi başına devam edebilecek gücü olmayan o kadar çok canlı varken en gü- zelini ya da en popülerini seçmek için para verip almak bana mantıklı gelmiyor. Ticaret bunun adı! Cinsi ne diye soranla- ra “sokak kedisi” demek ne kadar keyi i bilseniz. Dört ayaklı bir dost sahibi olmak isteyenlere tavsiyem; hayvan barı- naklarına gidin, orada muhtemelen bir zamanlar heves ile satın alınmış ama bakılamayıp barınaklara bırakılmış kalbi kırık, güvensiz, mutsuz ve ürkek birçok dostumuz var. Sizi dört gözle bekliyorlar!
What do you do for the animals living in the streets?
✔ I always keep dried and wet animal food in the trunk of my car. When I go somewhere and I see a living creature on the road, I stop and give food. Or when I see a cat standing out- side while I am sitting in a bistro, I always bring a piece of my food to the cat. People may get angry with me because of the places where I leave food, but what can I do? They are alive, and they are entrusted to us! Also, I strive to visit Yedikule and Esenyurt animal shelters as much as I can. In particular, after a special dinner at my former workplace, I convinced them to give the leftovers to Esenyurt animal shelter and we went there with few kilograms of meat. They are happy and I am happy :) I spend some minutes with each of the animal. I pay attention not to forget even one animal since I believe that I might upset the animal if I do not spend anytime with it. Even I want to reach the animal, resting at the back, at least with my voice.
There are some animals living around our company? Do you take care of them?
✔ I’ve been in the headquarters for six months. I learned last week about the animals living around the company dur- ing a conversation with the person interested in this subject. In addition, I am living in the estate near the company. Even I am walking to the company and I use both of the entrance doors of the company, I never saw the animals living around our company. I will spare more time to them :) Only once, I saw a timid cat in the parking lot of the estate I am living in. I gave it from the food that I keep in my trunk. And I watched it eating from a distance so that I don’t bother it.
Our motto; #satinalmasahiplen (do not buy adopt) Why the persons should adopt a pet?
✔ It is not reasonable for me to purchase the most popular or most beautiful pet when there are so many living animals outside that need our help and have no power to survive on their own. This is so commercial! What a pleasant thing to say “street cat” when someone asks the breed of your pet. I recommend to have a pet; visit the animal shelters, there are many friends there, heart broken, insecure, unhappy and tim- id since they are bought with enthusiasm and left to shelters after a while. They are looking forward to seeing you!
