Bahreyn dünyanın en zengin ülkeleri arasında yer alı- yor. Bu zenginlik de petrolden sağlanıyor. Petrol keşfe- dilinceye kadar ufak bir balıkçı kasabası olan Bahrayn’in petrolle beraber şansı da dönüyor. Bugün petrolün saç- tığı bereket, zenginlik, ihtişam ülkenin her yerinde. Ta- bii özel hayatlarında da bunu görebiliyoruz. Manama’nın meşhur çarşılarında pazarlarında gezerken, yolumuz altın pazarına düşüyor. Kuyumcuları gezelim istiyorum. Kuyumcularda ne ürünler ne takılar var anlatamam. Özellikle de düğünlerde, özel günlerde, bayramlarda kadınların taktıkları, birbirlerine hediye aldıkları takıları görünce şaşırıyoruz biraz... Bahrain is among the wealthiest countries in the world. This wealth comes from the petroleum. The luck of Bah- rain, which is a small shing town until the discovery of pe- troleum, turns also with the petroleum. The fertility, rich- ness, magni cence of the petroleum is all over the country today. Of course, we can see it in their private lives. While we tour Manama’s famous markets and bazaars, we hap- pen to pass the gold market. I want to visit the jewelry shops. I cannot tell you what products and jewelry are in the jewelry shops. We are a little bit surprised to see the jewelries that women pin especially at weddings, on spe- cial occasions, on holidays and that women purchase as gifts for each other... We learn that there is a custom here to pin a piece of jewelry that weighs as much as the bride from the jewelry shop. All single girls go to Bahrain!
