Gece yarısı güneşi nasıl oluyor?
Dünyamız 23.5 derecelik bir eğime sahip. Bu eğim sebe- biyle, dünya güneşin etrafında dönerken güneş ışıkları 12 ay boyunca farklı açılarla dünyaya düşüyor. İşte bu sebep- le yaz mevsimi geldiği zaman neredeyse 6 ay boyunca Rovaniemi şehrinde güneş hiç batmıyor. Kış mevsimi gel- diğinde ise güneş çok kısa süreliğine doğup batıyor. Dün- yanın en ilginç olayları burada yaşanıyor diyebiliriz çünkü 21 Aralık’ta da hiç güneş doğmuyor.

How we can see the sun at midnight?
The Earth’s axis is tilted 23.5 degrees. Because of this in- clination, as the Earth revolves around the sun, the solar lights fall to the earth at different angles for 12 months. That is why when the summer comes, the sun never sets in Rovaniemi for almost 6 months. When winter comes, the sun rises and sets for a very short time. We can say that the most interesting events in the world are hap- pening here. The sun never rises on December 21st.
