-30’larda balkonlarda uyutulan bebekler
Finlandiyalılar soğuk hava ile temasa bebekliklerinde baş- lıyorlar. Bebekler -30 derecede balkonda uyutuluyor. Bu sanırım bünyelerinin sağlamlığını açıklıyordur. Ciğerleri soğuğa alışsın diye soğuk ülkelerde yaşayanlar bebek- lerini balkonda uyuturmuş. Evet yanlış duymadınız. O soğuğun altında uyuturlarmış çocuklarını. Çocuklar so- ğukta hem rahat uyur hem de ciğerleri çelikleşirmiş. Za- ten çocuklar, kışın parklarda atkısız, spor ayakkabılarıyla oynuyorlar. Çünkü -10, -20 onlara bahar gibi geliyor. Reh- berimiz -30’dan sonrası bize soğuk geliyor demişti ve çok şaşırmıştım. Biz -10’da donuyoruz. Soğuğa alışkın olma- dığımız için de kendimizi koruyamayıp hemen hasta olu- yoruz. Kutuplarda yaşayanlar ise hiç etkilenmiyorlar bile. İşte böyle bambaşka bir dünya Kuzey Kutbu.
Husky köpekleri ile utulmaz safari keyfi
Bu topraklarda en önemli olay Husky’lerin kızaklarla taşı- macılık yapması. Kuzey Kutbu kış mevsiminin gelmesiyle beraber karlar altında kalan bir coğrafya. İnsanlar orman- larda, tabiat içinde yaşam sürdüklerinden dolayı arabala- rını kışın kullanmakta güçlük çekiyorlar. Husky köpekleri ile ulaşımlarını sağlıyorlar. Aynı masalları andıran görün- tüler ortaya çıkıyor. Özellikle çok daha kuzey bölgeler- de insanlar iglolarda yaşam sürdükleri gibi kayak ve çivili ayakkabı bile kullanıyorlar. Bu durum aslında yereller için çok normal ama bize değişik ve sıra dışı geliyor. Bizlerin ilgisi kendi geleneksel yaşamlarını dünyaya açmalarını sağlamış. Artık bu işlerden para kazanıyorlar. Yaşamların- daki farklılıklar turizmin bir parçası olmuş durumda.

Babies sleeping on balconies at -30°C
Finnish get in touch with cold weather in their infancy. Babies are put to sleep on the balcony at -30 degrees. I guess that explains the robustness of their bodies. Those living in cold countries let their babies sleep on the balcony so that their lungs could get used to the cold. You, you didn’t read it wrong. They put their kids to sleep in cold. The children sleep com- fortably in the cold and their lungs are strengthened. In the winter, children play with sneakers without wearing a scarf in the parks. Because the temperatures like -10°C -20°C are considered as spring. Our guide said that the temperatures below -30°C are considered as “cold”. I was very surprised. We’re freezing at -10°C. Since we are not accustomed to the cold, we cannot protect ourselves and we immediately become ill. Those living in the Arctic are not even affected. That’s a whole other world, the North Pole.
Enjoying a safari with husky dogs
The most important event in this land is the transportation of the Huskies with sledges. The North Pole is under the snow when the winter arrives. People have difficulty in driv- ing their cars in the winter because they live in the forests and in nature. They provide transportation with husky dogs. Hence, we observe some images like a fairy tale. Particular- ly in the far north, since people live in igloos, they use the skis. This situation is very normal for the locals but it seems different and unusual to us. Our interest has enabled them to present their traditional living to the world. Even they are making money. The differences in their lives have become part of tourism.
It is a different pleasure to sled with husky dogs in the sum- mer. In the lush forests, Husky dogs give tourists incredible moments. Husky dogs are trained and strengthened since
