Bir Dünya Yıldızı Mostar
Mostar; Hersek Bölgesi’nin en büyük şehri ve Bos- na-Hersek Federasyonu’na bağlı Hersek-Neretva Kanto- nu’nun idari merkezi olan bir şehir. Neretva Nehri’nin kıyı- sında yer alan Mostar, Hersek’in başkenti. 105 bin nüfuslu şehir, yaşanan Bosna Soykırı’mında büyük zarar görmüş olsa da yapılan restorasyonlar ve desteklerle eski görü- nümüne tekrar kavuşuyor. Fakat Şehre ismini veren ünlü Mostar Köprüsü atılan bombalarla ne yazık ki Hırvatlar tarafından yıkılmış. Yaşanan bu olumsuzluklardan dolayı şehrin etnik yapısı da değişmiş. Boşnaklar Mostar’ın do- ğusunda, Hırvatlar ise batısında yaşamaya başlamış.
Bosna Soykırımı; 1992-1995 yılları arasında Bosnalı Müslümanlara önce Sırplar sonra da Hırvatalar’ın katıl- masıyla yapılan bir soykırımdı. Ve bu esnada bir çok eser ülkede hasar gördü. O eserlerden biri de 400 yıl boyunca ayakta kalan Osmanlı eseri Mostar Köprüsü’ydü.
Mostar Köprüsü
Şehre adını veren, dünyanın en güzel köprülerinden biri Mostar Köprüsü’nün tarihi Osmanlı dönemine gidi- yor. Bosna-Hersek’in Mostar şehrini tam ortadan bölen Neretva Nehri’nin üzerindeki Mostar Köprüsü’nün özel olması; sadece tarihi önemi veya mimari bir harika olması değildir. Onu özel yapan yüz yıllardır sayısız insanın bir kı- yıdan diğerine geçişine izin verirken, fiziksel ve manevi bir köprü görevi de görüyor olmasıdır. Zaman içinde çok yara almış ama yeniden ve daha güçlü olarak ayağa kalkan bir köprü Bosna-Hersek’in güzel şehri Mostar’daki Neretva Nehri üzerinde, hilal görünümündeki yekpare özelliğiyle dünyanın en zarif köprülerinden biridir. Kentin, Boşnak ve Hırvat kesimlerini birbirine bağlamakla kalmamış, şehre ismini de vermiştir...
A World Star Mostar
Mostar; It is the largest city in the Herzegovina Region and an administrative center of the Hersek-Neretva can- ton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Situated on the banks of the Neretva River, Mostar is the capital of Herzegovina. Inhabited by 105 thousand, Mostar city was largely damaged during the Bosnian genocide. Now, thanks to restorations and support, it will appear as it was used to appear. But the famous Mostar Bridge, which gave its name to the city, was unfortunately destroyed by the Croats. Bosnian Genocide; It was a genocide committed by the Serbians at first, then by the Croats against Bosnian Mus- lims between 1992 and 1995. In the meantime, a lot of monuments were damaged in the country. One of those monuments was the Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans and stood for over 400 years.
Mostar Bridge
The history of one of the most beautiful bridges in the world, which gave its name to the city, goes to back to the Ottoman period. The Old Bridge, located on Neretva River that divides the Mostar city from the center, is important in terms of history and architecture. Moreover, it is unique because it serves as a physical and spiritual bridge while al- lowing so many people cross one side to the other side. It is one of the most elegant bridges in the world with its cres- cent appearance on the Neretva River in Mostar, the beauti- ful city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, although it was wounded over time.
