Amerika Birleşik Devletleri eyaletleri, ilginç kuralları, insanı içine çeken çeşit çeşit alışveriş merkezleri, indirimlerin her daim olduğu out- let’leri, dev boyuttaki jipleri, hamburgercileri ve daha saymadığım bir sürü özgünlüğü ile bambaşka bir dünya. Peki, bu dünyada Atlanta nerede, orada neler yapılır? Haydi, beraber keşfe koyulalım.
Atlanta Hotlanta
Atlanta, Gerorgia eyaletinin başkenti ve en büyük ken- ti. Eyaletin nüfusu yaklaşık 10 milyon. Şehir, siyahi nüfu- sun ülkede en fazla olduğu eyalet. ABD’nin en çok turist çeken şehirlerinden olan Atlanta, yıl boyu ılıman bir ik- lime sahip. Kışın hava sıcaklığı 14-15 derecelerde. Yazın ise, 28-30 derecelere çıkıyor. Bu nedenle, bu ülkeye ne zaman seyahat ederseniz edin, üşümüyorsunuz. Bun- dan dolayı da Atlantalılar şehirlerine, “sıcak topraklar” diyor. Atlanta’yı “Hotlanta” olarak isimlendiriyorlar.

We continue to explore new places with ‘I am Trave- ling Around the World’ Team. In this issue, I am going to talk about the state of Georgia and its capital Atlanta of United States of America.
United States is enormous. USA is a completely dif- ferent universe with its states, interesting rules, abun- dant attractive shopping centers, outlet stores with continuous discount, giant jeeps, hamburgers and so many originalities that I can’t recall. So, what is the sig- ni cance of Atlanta in this world, what to do here? Come on, let us discover together!
Atlanta Hotlanta
Atlanta is the capital and largest city of the state of Georgia, with an estimated population of 10 million. The city has the state’s largest black majority. Atlanta, as one of the top tourist destinations in the USA, has a mild climate throughout the year. The temperature during winter is about 14-15 degrees while in summer it is on average of 28-30 degree. For this reason, whenever you travel this city, you do not get gold. That is why citizens of Atlanta refer their city as ‘hot lands’ and ‘Hotlanta’ is now commonly used by most of its citizens.
