Henüz tam olarak kanıtlanmamasına karşın anne ile bebek arasındaki ilk bağlanma ilişkisinin doğum önce- sinde kurulduğu ileri sürülüyor. Bu nedenle doğum ön- cesinde annenin bedenindeki değişiklikleri kabullenip benimsemesi, olumlu duygularını doğmamış bebeğine aktarabilmesi bağlanmanın temelini oluşturuyor. Örne- ğin, bu dönemde annenin karnını okşamasının, bebeği tensel olarak hissetmesinin güvenli bağlanma açısından oldukça önemli olduğu söyleniyor.
Anne-bebek ilişkisi doğumdan sonra daha büyük bir önem kazanıyor. Bebek dünyaya gözlerini açtığı anda büyük çoğunlukla ilk karşılaştığı insan annesi oluyor ve dünyayı algılayışını annesi ile yaşadıkları belirliyor.
Peki, “güvenli bağlanma” derken tam olarak kast etti- ğimiz şey nedir?
Güvenli bağlanmanın sağlanabilmesi için annenin (ya da bakım sağlayan kişinin) ulaşılabilir olması, bebeğin tepki ve ihtiyaçlarına duyarlı olması, bebeğin davranış- larına uygun tepkiler vermesi ve bebekle yakınlık kurma- sı gerekiyor. Tabii ki zaman zaman bebekle kurulan ile-

Relationship between mother and baby becomes more important after childbirth. When the baby is born, rst meets his/her mother and the baby’s perception of the world is based on the interaction between mother and child.
So, what do we mean exactly with the term of ‘secure attachment’?
In order to ensure a secure attachment, it is necessary for the mother (or caregiver) to be available, sensitive to baby’s reactions and needs, responsive to the baby’s behaviors and to make a connection with the baby. Of course, there may be occasional breaks or ruptures on
