CUFI UK Update - Autumn 2020

Autumn 2020
cufiupdate Christians United for Israel United Kingdom
  IN THIS UPDATE:
At the beginning of 2020 the small team at CUFI UK came together to plan our year ahead. We had great plans for regional conferences and events, bringing together partners and friends from across the United Kingdom in support of Israel, to encourage, to bring revelation and to impart God’s love for the Jewish people.
Due to COVID-19 and lockdown restrictions those plans have been delayed but the work continues unabated.
Hebrews 10:25 tells us not to forsake the gathering together of the brethren especially “as you see the Day approaching”.
Sadly, many churches have closed temporarily throughout a good portion of the year. Some churches still remain closed and some people are unable to attend prayer meetings or church services because they need to self-isolate and therefore are receiving little to no fellowship with other Christians.
We believe it is vitally important that we build each other up and encourage one another with the truth of God’s Word at this time and our team at CUFI UK felt burdened by this.
At the beginning of lockdown we took the decision to film and post daily Scripture videos to encourage people during lockdown in the UK and beyond. We hoped this would be an encouragement to many, and we are pleased to say that we received a great deal of positive feedback and encouragement as a result of these readings.
We have now moved to providing weekly Bible teachings that are more in-depth with Alastair Kirk giving messages on various subjects such as overcoming a spirit of fear and teachings on the Jewish feasts. The weekly teachings are broadcast on our Facebook page and YouTube channel every Monday at 10am.
This is our small way of helping to connect with people during these times and we pray you are encouraged by these teachings.
We have seen many people joining with us, which is a great encouragement, but we have also experienced the problems with social media companies restricting certain content, including some of our messaging. Our team has overcome most obstacles, but we really would appreciate your prayer so that the truth can reach far and wide through our social media channels.
As you can appreciate, these times are challenging for many organisations like ours who have seen a reduction in donations.
Whilst the work of CUFI has been affected, with some staff members still working from home, we are blessed to report that we have been able to retain our small team and have seen that our outworking has increased despite everything going on around us.
Our prayer has always been that we will be faithful stewards in fulfilling the work the Lord has placed on this ministry. We are humbled that so many stand with us and appreciate the generosity and support of our partners. Without their faithful giving we simply would not exist.
If you have been blessed by this ministry and see the importance of our work, we ask that you consider becoming a member with CUFI by making a monthly donation and help us raise the banner of Christian Zionism in Britain.
The Bible teaches that God blesses those who bless Israel and we have witnessed this first hand as a team especially during these times.
In the world today we are seeing prophecy being fulfilled before our very eyes. We believe it is up to organisations such as CUFI to challenge the lies of the enemy and to be a light in the darkness of this world.
There is still much to do, and we have little time and few resources, but we are determined to bring Christians together and make an impact in this nation.
For Zion’s Sake,
