Autumn Update 2025
Life, Peace, Joy, and Christmas
As we head into the Christmas season, we
continue to thank God for preserving Israel
throughout the year and for the safe release of
the hostages after two long years of war for Israel.
It is a weight off our collective shoulders to say all
living hostages in Gaza have now been released,
and it looks like peace is finally on the horizon.
At the time of writing, the bodies of three
hostages remain in Gaza. We pray that they will
soon be returned to their families so their loved
ones, and Israel as a whole, can close this dark
chapter.
As an organisation, we continue to stand with the
families who lost loved ones due to the Hamas
war; whether it is innocent victims of Hamas
terror, or brave soldiers who fought on the front
lines to defend Israel. May their memories be a
blessing, and may God comfort the families of
Israel.
We believe this war is more than just Israel against
Hamas. It has revealed itself as light against
darkness, of truth against lies, and of good against
evil. Whilst there may be peace in the immediate,
there will not be long term peace until the Prince
of Peace returns.
Life Over Death
There is a very real battle being waged in the
spiritual realm. It isn’t a new thing, and it isn’t
exclusive to the war in Gaza. Israel has very
real enemies that it has to go to war against.
However, for Christians who are Watchmen
on the Walls, our battle is not against flesh and
blood, it’s against principalities and powers,
(Ephesians 6:12).
The word “life” is mentioned over 500 times in
Scripture. It is a true gift from our Creator. God’s
people, Christians and Jews, love life, and our
duty in this life is to do everything we can to
fulfil our divine purpose through the life He has
given us.
The “Tree of Life” is first mentioned in Genesis
2:9: “In the middle of the garden were the tree
of life and the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil.”
The Tree of Life represents the Word of God, as
referenced in Proverbs 3:17–18: “[The Word’s]
ways are pleasant ways, and all its paths are
peace. It is a tree of life for those who hold on
to it. Those who cling to it are blessed.”
