would like to see. The provisional plan is to hug the W coast to do the fjords and cross the mountains,
visiting Geiranger, Trollstigen (the Troll’s Ladder!), the Atlantic Coast road (Atlanterhavsveien), pass the
Lofoten isles and stop for pictures at Saltfjellet on the Arctic Circle. Then head south not via Solvgarten

but to Bergen then the ferry to Holland, or back a faster easier way through the Swedish lowlands and
via Oslo for the ferry to Denmark. Please join the discussion group below and let Knut know if you want
to go.
There are already groups from Germany, Switzerland and France going to Solvgarten and we’re passing
the info on to our contacts in the southern hemisphere, many of whom will not have visited Norway or
indeed anywhere like it. This will be an unmissable event.

Meeting Reports

Before we plunge into the various written meeting reports and member articles can I just give Alex ‘Ninja’
Knight’s videos a plug? His most recent posts have been of the Ulysses Scottish tour last year, but he
has been producing bike videos for a few years now and I have to admit he’s getting quite good at it. He
has his own ‘Motograndad’ Youtube channel and it makes essential viewing, especially when you’re

12-15th August 2022: Hauenstein weekend (Alex Knight)

Germany, Ich bin in dich verliebt! After a long wait after the usual Whitsun had been postponed, we
finally had the dates for the Germany meet, the German August bank holiday weekend. This year we
would be gathering at the Waldhotel Felsentor in Hauestein, not far from the border of France and the
Moselle department 57.
