them all. These rides, along with the informal Saturday morning Tyre Kicks and Wednesday coffee
runs all make for a vibrant Club. And, repeating my words from last month, ensure that there really is
something for everyone.

Independently of the Branch, a small number of us headed over to Mount Gambier on April 1 for the
National Historic Road Races and camped trackside. In addition to socializing around the camp fire
and watching great racing, it was truly inspirational seeing Rob Ashmore roll into the track in the dark
on Friday night, towing his caravan. I only hope that I am capable of that when I am 89 years of age!
Looking forward, we have a full calendar of organized Wednesday and Sunday rides - see Mark’s
most recent Ride Calendar that has been sent via email, and is also available on the Branch Forum
for specific details.
I have also sent an email to members seeking help with our role in the Great Ocean Road Marathon.
It is the second of two major fundraising activities for the Branch for 2022. The first one was assisting
with the cycling leg of the Geelong Triathlon back in February.

Don’t forget our Social Meeting this Wednesday 20 April at the Charles Hotham Hotel. Meals and
socializing from 6.00pm and the meeting commences at 7.00pm. I hope to see you there!
