Brmstik Babble! President Report January 2023:

Greetings to a new year and summer. When every day is a great day to wake up, breathe, go for a
ride and come back smiling!! Thanks to all those who put their names down to lead a ride for this
quarter. Also, thank you to those who have asked for the Branch Banking details for donating to K9,
we will keep you informed of the final total, what has been purchased and when the collection will take
place.
The National office will re-open 11th January and you can renew your membership.
Black Friday 13th January, we welcome back the movie & pizza night. Wear black!!
Don’t forget to keep Australia Day free for our Aussie Day BBQ breakfast at the Rockingham foreshore.
I hope to see you out and about soon.

Secretary Report January 2023
Hi Everyone, Something a bit different this month.
Things to watch out for if you ride in New Zealand:
Giveway signs have a solid white line on the road (like our stop sign lines).
Stop signs have a solid yellow line.
100kph roads drop to 50kph through most towns with no warning.
One lane bridges (there are a lot in N.Z.) many have the 90° corner in the road going up to it, then
you need to see if you need to give way, or if the oncoming vehicles give way.
Passing a stationary school bus is 20kph (in both directions).
Deep gutters going into some carparks are not very m/c friendly.
You need to go in at a 90° angle (like crossing tram tracks).
Some towns are built on the side of a mountain, so there are no
level carparks or roads.
