Social Meeting Notes from Meeting on 18 January 2023
Meeting commenced at: 7.00 p.m. Held at Sir Charles Hotham Hotel.
Attendance: 18 members in attendance with 3 apologies, per attendance book.

Christmas 2022 has come and gone. The last month has flown by and our first Social Meeting for 2023 is

on this Wednesday 18 January at the Charles Hotham Hotel. Meals and socializing from 6.00pm with the
meeting commencing at 7.00pm. Hopefully we will see you there!

The 18 of January 2023 is the cutoff date for nominations for the Geelong Branch Committee positions for
th
2023. A new Committee will be elected at the 15 February meeting. See the email of 21 Nov 2022 from
our Secretary Don Wilkinson for nomination forms and descriptions of the roles for each position.
Nominations remain open for Club Person of the Year Award for the Geelong branch. Nominations are
open until Wednesday 18 January 2023 and are to be sent to the Branch Secretary at
secretary@ulyssesgeelong.org
Our ride calendar is already looking healthy thanks to Mark Nicoll. Our first official ride for 2023 will be more

of a social event with a Twilight Ride on Sunday 22 Jan ending with a meal at the
Mt Moriac Hotel. Mal Stapleton has put out advance notification of this and other
social events via email.

The organisers of the Geelong Triathlon on Sun March 26 have finally confirmed
that they need our services for the cycling leg of the Triathlon again. This is a major
fund raiser for the Geelong Branch and a lot of fun to be involved in. If you are
considering volunteering to help but feel a bit unsure about it, have a look at some
