Sun 18/12 Social Ride – Annual “Poker Run”, 100km Led by Peter Barclay
A very well attended ride, with about 23 riders/pillions participating and 30 at
lunch. Poker and Bingo administered Gentle and Mal, with others assisting. A good ride led by Peter,
with stops for the gambling. Finishing at Ocean Grove Bowling Club
Very nice and excellent value lunch was had by all, and prizes handed out to all placegetters.A
great day overall!
Rides for the next month:
Branch members enjoying a Christmas / New Year break, with rides resuming in late January.
Sun 22 Jan 2023.Twilight Ride to Moriac. 25+ km. To be led by Mal Stapleton. Dinner at the Mt
Moriac Hotel.

No news. Rob on holidays.
General Business:
NATCOM and Branch Member Rob Hunt gave a rundown voting for NATCOM positions. There are
more nominations than positions, so votes from Branch members will be important in determining
the makeup of NATCOM. Voting forms are available on the National website. These need to be
printed out, filled in and then posted back to NATCOM.
All Branch Committee positions will be vacated and voted on at the February meeting. Nominations

close on 18 January, 2023. Descriptions of the duties for each position have be previously
circulated.
In conjunction with NATCOM, the prestigious Telemachus Medal was awarded to long time
contributor to the Branch – Lindsay Earl, member # 41403. Since joining in 2005, Lindsay has made
an outstanding contribution to the Geelong Branch. It was wonderful to see Lindsay’s contribution
acknowledged with such an award.
Next Meeting: To be held on 18 January 2023 commencing at 7 p.m., meals from 6.00pm.
