Book of Psalms

                Especially old and rare
   Written on parchments about 300 years ago

          A rare Book of Psalms from the year 5494, 1736 CE, [translator’s note: the Hebrew and CE Gregorian
          years do not match], handwritten on parchment and decorated with multiple impressive illustrations
          at every fifth psalm, which are organized by the days of the month. Rabbi Sharon Mintz of Sotheby’s
          said that is the most beautiful Book of Psalms in the world. She sent me the letter below about it.

                                                                        Dear Reb Hoffman, in the last few hours I have been
                                                                        working on the tehillim manuscript. I am very excited
                                                                        to tell you that through my research I was able to
                                                                        fighre out exactly who it was made for!! It was written
                                                                        for one of the Most Important Court, Jews of the
                                                                        18th century a man by the name of Michael David.
                                                                        He was married twice and his second wife was
                                                                        name Chanale. She brought her two sons from her
                                                                        first marriage with her. And Her second son Moses
                                                                        Kossman Behrend marries her husband's davghter
                                                                        gold, (so a step brother and sister were married).
                                                                        These are some of the most important court Jews
                                                                        in Hanover and Halberstwdt and I think linking the
                                                                        manuscript to them makes it even more valuable.
                                                                        The artist is still unknown perhaps I will be able to
                                                                        figure thet out in the future. Let's speak on Sunday.
