As a teenager, do you sometimes find it difficult to talk to your parents?
Do they always say no to you when you ask them for something? To help
your parents understand what you need or want, learn the tips below and
communicate with them better.
Choose the right time. Go to your parents when they have time to talk, so
they will listen better.
Be clear. Tell your parents what you want, how you feel, and what you plan
to do as clearly as you can. If they don't get enough information from you, they
may not be able to help you.
Be honest. Being honest is the best thing you can do. If you're honest with
your parents, it'll be easier to talk to them because they will believe you.

Understand their point of view. If you want your parents to listen to you,
you need to do the same. When you look at things from their angle, you'll
understand how they think and what they expect from you.
Don't lose your cool. Never turn a talk into a fight. Don't get too excited
or angry. Make sure to stay calm when you talk. This way, your parents will take
you seriously.
