Brief Bio
In 1987, drawn by the profound teachings of Apostle Jeannette C. Holmes-Vann, Pastor
Michael L. Bolden dedicated his life to the Lord. Over three decades have passed since, and
his unwavering commitment to Hope Chapel remains evident. He was first ordained as a
minister in 1999 and has since been an inspirational figure, walking alongside fellow believers,
sharing the Gospel, uplifting the fallen, and nurturing the faith of many. "At Hope Chapel," he
recalls, "I distinctly felt God's call, beckoning me to be an integral part of this profound
ministry."
Hope Chapel Ministries is distinguished for its comprehensive approach, addressing the
entirety of one's spiritual journey. Pastor Bolden's faith and dedication have been shaped
significantly by the genuine mentorship of Apostle Jeannette C. Holmes-Vann and the
foundational beliefs of the ministry.
Minister Bolden previously held esteemed positions as the Chairman of the Prison Ministry
Outreach and was a notable member of the Elders’ Board as well as several other committees.
His dedication and leadership led to his ordination as the Pastor of Hope Chapel Ministries on
October 24, 2021. Now, as Pastor, he holds the pivotal role of Chairman of the Board of
Directors, overseeing all facets of ministry operations. He's not alone in this endeavor; by his
side, sharing the responsibilities and vision, is his devoted spouse, First Lady Lu’Juana
Bolden.
Outside his spiritual commitments, Pastor Bolden serves the community through his position
at the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. Life at home is filled with love and blessings, marked
by 40 cherished years of marriage to Lu‘Juana Bolden, their three children—Rosetta, Brandon,
and Rachel—and the joy of being grandparents to Aniyah, Zyez, Jehlani, and Nyla.
