TEACHERS AT SEABORN ELEMENTARY WILL RECEIVE AN EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT:
A RELAXING ZEN SPACE FOR THE TEACHER'S LOUNGE

Atlanta, Georgia – December 6, 2023 - The Seaborn Elementary Community Service Project, led by the Atlanta
Chapter of the National Association of Black Women in Construction (NABWIC), celebrated a heartwarming moment
on December 6th. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the culmination of months of dedicated effort, bringing
early holiday cheer to Seaborn Lee Elementary School by gifting a tranquil Zen Space for their devoted teachers. The
event witnessed over 60 educators and guests in attendance, alongside members of the South Fulton Chamber of
Commerce and the honorable presence of Councilwoman Helen Zenobia Willis, City of Fulton, District 3.

The transformed room, filled with new furniture, including massage chairs, sofas, couches, and other modern
amenities, left attendees in awe, symbolizing a meaningful commitment to the educators at Seaborn Lee Elementary.

With a cadre of volunteers at the heart of the transformation, the Seaborn Project, a community-driven initiative, has
been a labor of love. Dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly on pre-project preparations, leading up to a major
installation over the weekend of December 2. This effort has resulted in the creation of a serene and nurturing
      environment in the teacher's lounge.

At the helm of this transformative journey was Project Manager Melody Vaughn, a seasoned design professional with
over 18 years of experience. Melody, owner of Melody Vaughn Interiors and Senior Designer for the showroom at
Floor and Decor Design Studios in Buckhead, passionately led the project. She shared her profound belief, stating, "I
am incredibly humbled to be part of the Seaborn Elementary Community Service Project. Design has always been my
passion, and I believe that a well-designed environment can truly impact lives positively. By creating this Zen Space,
we're not just changing a room; we're creating an atmosphere where teachers can find peace and rejuvenation."
