Homegoing Celebration
letter to my father
Thank you, Father
for Everything!
From the very beginning, you
insisted I call you ‘Father,’
not ‘Dad’ or ‘Daddy,’ and you
have truly lived up to that
noble title. Thank you, Fa-
ther, for giving me the great-
est gift of all – yourself.
I might not have grasped
every lesson you tried to
teach me, but now I see how
much they meant. Our travel
adventures opened my eyes
to the world, and the hours
we spent watching anime,
and building Gundam figures
together, are memories I’ll
treasure forever.
I’ll even miss your listening
to my long-winded explana-
tions about video games and
shows, which always made
our time together so special.
But above all, I will miss your
spirit, your unique personal-
ity, and the endless love you
had for me. You’ve left an
imprint on my heart that will
never fade. You have indeed
proven to be a good, good
Father. Thank you.
Your loving daughter,
Laurielle Linda Perry
