        Have Nature       So many NEW things have come with the New Year!
     Backpacks?   Have    We have brought in Nature’s Backpack! What is this you may ask? It is the perfect pairing to borrow
     you borrowed one     with our Ontario Parks Day Pass! The backpack includes: a pair of binoculars, a magnifying glass, a tick
           yet?           removal kit, a guidebook on birds, and a guidebook on animal signs and tracks. What a great way to
                          learn in the great outdoors! Speaking of learning in the great outdoors…January 27 is Family Literacy
                          Day!  And  we  have  a  contest  perfect  for  getting  outside!  Visit  the  library  to  pick  up  your  Family
                          Literacy Day Scavenger Hunt Card today! Find all the things on the card and drop it off at the library
                          by February first to be entered into a draw for a family fun prize!
                          While you’re picking up the scavenger hunt, make sure to grab one of our Creative Kids Take Home
                          Crafts! This month: make your own bookmark, try the word search, and learn how to make your own
                          frozen bubbles!
                          Don’t forget to grab an Adult Activity Kit for mom or dad while you’re at it! Every month there will be a
                          new kit for adults to take some time for you! These little kits will include word puzzles, coloring pages,
                          a challenge, and Marmora & Lake Public Library’s Monthly Recipe!
                          Phew! That was a lot…but keep your eyes peeled, there’s more to come!

    MADOC PUBLIC LIBRARY
    Noella Wubbolt is a young artist from the Millbridge, Ontario area. Her youth has been spent on a hobby farm in the forest
    surrounded by nature. She has a great passion for creating art, which she demonstrated a great talent for from a young age.
    Her preferred style is realism, and her works mainly depict animals, landscapes, and scenes from nature. The media she most
    commonly uses in her artwork include watercolour, acrylic, paint, ink, and graphite pencils. Noella loves to explore with new
    media, subjects and styles.  Noella's artwork will be on display at Madoc Public Library throughout January and February.
