BANUR’S BAND
As a brainchild of Usman Width, powered by the melodious voice of Chakkar Baloch and his uncle SM Baloch, the
Banur’s Band was born in the heart of Balochistan, Usman, who owns a studio in Quetta, started his musical
lourney in his teenage and dedicated the following years to study music. Chakkar has professionally studied Balo-
chi musical tradition and always wanted to play Benjo, defying the societal pressure to pursue a more conservative
path. SM Baloch grew up singing despite strong family opposition and met Usman coincidently when once he was
visiting Chakkar in Quetta. Together, their journey led them to the Coke Studio recently, were they sung the famous
song ‘Mubarak’ with the national singing loon Atif Aslam and made their province proud. Head over to watch their
