Enforcers knock off city rival, finish undefeated
A dominating 42-0 win over their firefighter rivals on Fa- ther’s Day helped the CPD Enforcers reach a couple of mean- ingful milestones.
The team, which returned after the 2020 season was wiped out amid the COVID-19 pandemic, finished with a perfect 4-0 record. That undefeated run looks even better when you con- sider the Enforcers outscored their opponents 137-36. Also, in shutting out the CFD Bravest in the season finale at Brother Rice High School, the Enforcers made it to their fourth straight
First Responders Bowl game in the classic police–fire series. All that’s missing is a postseason appearance for the En- forcers, since the National Public Safety Football League, after canceling the 2020 season, eased into a return to play in 2021 by acknowledging the challenges of game scheduling and travel this year. As a result, no championship games will be played, leaving the Enforcers still with some business to take
care of heading into 2022.
