2nd District celebrates Fourth of July with the community
Officers from the 2nd District answered a different call, the call to help feed their communities, during the Fourth of July weekend. Officers throughout Wentworth passed out hot dogs, sodas and chips, all while conversation was had and personal relationships were built.
12th District officers wish a fan a happy birthday
12th District officers celebrated the 23rd birthday of one of their biggest fans, Lucy, on July 7. The group of officers showed up with balloons and gifts, including a Chicago Police Department shirt, and rode bikes around town with Lucy.
5th District hosts community festival
In an amazing act of kindness, 5th District officers hosted a community festival with the intention to bond and give back to citizens. The festival brought joy to local adolescents as officers handed out free school supplies to the children and numerous games and events were held throughout the venue, highlighted by a bouncy house and a dunk tank.
