Cops and kids
Connecting with the community takes on many forms, but there’s something special about the way children appreciate the chance to meet, learn from and hang out with Police Officers. Here’s a look at a few of the recent cops-and-kids moments from around the City.d
The smile on 14th District O cer Tom McNamara’s face says it all after spending some time with scouts from the Shakespeare neighborhood. The kids went through roll call and got to check out a police SUV during a visit in May.
A spring break adventure saw 12th District o cers and area kids climb to new heights on the rock climbing walls at Brooklyn Boulders Chicago on South Morgan Street on the Near West Side.
O cers from 14 took a moment to act like kids again as they celebrated Star Wars Day on May 4 with lightsabers and masks during roll call.

O cers from the 17th Districts CAPS o ce took students from the Northside Learning Center out to the ballgame to see the World Series Champion Cubs take on the Milwaukee Brewers. The students were treated to a 7-4 Cubs win.
