Cops in the community
Proving there are many ways to connect with citizens, Chicago police officers around the City stopped to say hello, met schoolchildren for some friendly competition and jumped into action for charity during the month of September.
20th District O cer Ed Choi made the rounds as some- thing of a community greeter. He gave youngsters a chance to sit in a police vehicle, let a senior try on a police hat and shook hands with a man wait- ing for his train.
Community members and 15th District o cers came together on Sept. 23 for the third annual Austin 5K. The event aims to promote youth develop- ment and business entrepreneurship.
