Boxes of cookies and donuts helped make the day in the 4th District, but the words of the donor really took the cake. Deborah Peters summed up the feeling of many when she wrote that “there are those who care and are grateful” for the job that Chicago Police Officers do ev- ery day.
Officers in the 10th District took to the streets to help keep residents safe during a drive-up community mask giveaway held outside the district’s headquarters on Ogden Avenue.
First responders and frontline healthcare workers have been put to the test throughout the COVID-19 public health crisis. That bond prompted 9th Dis- trict CAPS officers to help deliver food — provided by an anonymous donor — to staff at Rush University Medical Center.
