WHERE IS THE OIL?

As you peruse the fabulous classes for
the 2019 Party in the Heartland you may notice only six oil classes are offered. Here are the facts. The Teachers Committee in charge
of class selection can only select from what
is submitted! This time there were simply fewer oil classes submitted.
All classes are selected by a point-based voting system.
All voting is done BEFORE the teacher’s names are revealed to prevent any show of favoritism. Once the points are tabulated by staff, then class times, class size, room availability, cost, etc. are taken into consideration. Based once again on the point totals, as many classes as possible are scheduled to fill the spaces and mediums.
Actually, this philosophy applies to all. If you do not see what you love in The Decorative Painter encourage your favorite artist to submit in the medium you would love to see.
This is your Society. If you want to see more of something, use your contacts and enthusiasm to encourage teachers to submit and support SDP.
Pack your party hat for Conference!
