behind the scenes
Carmen Resco, Steve Gerig, Miho Halsey, and Jennifer Arnold getting ready for a day of photography.
For this issue we took over the home of Steve and Stefanie Roth of Goddard, Kansas. Both husband and wife own their own business and have 3 teenage kids to keep them busy. This is the third home that the Roths have built together and have special touches like old antiques throughout
their home. Stefanie
scouted out and
purchased the doors
from an old locker
room and a foyer door
from an old church.
Each displayed unique
character and charm.
The home is stylish, yet
functional, blending
the past with modern
day class. The Urban
Farmhouse trend has
an edgy-but-natural
look that blends white-washed wood,
wrought iron, tuft, and earth-inspired colors
Stefanie's beautiful home
for an effortlessly
modern and timeless design. The Roth home features many of the 2019 Pantone
colors and they have added subtle “bling” representing Stefanie’s personality.
The second day took us to our photographer Steve Gerig’s studio and then we found our way into his home. Steve has a beautiful house nestled in Wichita’s College
Hill area. This was a perfect setting, as it gave us a backdrop of antique
furniture with modern charm. We even found a lost set of keys in
an old desk!
Sometimes it's tricky to get the perfect shot. We spend about 30 to 45 minutes on
each piece staging, adjusting and controlling natural light.
We hope you enjoy this issue of our SDP magazine.
