BACKGROUND
Basecoat with a mix of Gesso+Aqua Sky (approx. 1:1). When dry, working one area at a time, dampen heavily with water and spritz with Turquoise and White Shimmering Media Misters, turning piece as it dries so colors run. Dry each side well before moving onto the next. When totally dry, apply a coat of DecoArt Media Matte Medium; dry. Using medallion stencil and palette knife, add to top right corner using DecoArt Crackle Paint mixed with a little Aqua Sky. You can adjust this color to your liking by adding more or less paint. I wanted to keep it lighter, so I didn't add much paint. When it's totally dry, wash over this with Aqua Sky. I added portions of the Passport to Paris stencil to the background, using Aqua Sky+Bleached Sand. I just wanted this to be subtle, so I adjusted the color to work with my background. Depending on how light or dark your background is, you can add more or less Aqua Sky and Bleached Sand. When dry, trace on pattern.
